The vision

By the end of 2010 local people who meet Hackney Council’s eligibility criteria will be able to choose support services that they want and pay for it using a ‘personal budget’ from the Council. People will have more support options based on what they think will increase the quality of their lives.

People who don’t meet the criteria will benefit from better information and more joined-up working between the Council, NHS, and local organisations. The image below is the Personalisation Pathway that sets out how the new system will work:

This is how the new system will work for local people

Do you provide services for local people? Will you be ready for personalisation?

If you provide social care, health, wellbeing, advocacy, or brokerage services to local people, it is likely your organisation will need to change the way it works to operate in this new environment.

This site is aimed at local organisations and partners that provide services for local people. It is a place where you can get up-to-date information and submit any questions or issues that you may have.  It is run by Hackney Council’s Transformation of Adult Social Care Team. For more information visit the providers’ pages on Hackney’s website.

We hope you find this useful!
